The state Department of Environmental Quality has issued a high pollution advisory for Sunday.
Windy conditions combined with a lack of rain recently means it's likely there will be significant blowing dust in Maricopa and Pinal counties on Sunday. Particulate matter levels are predicted to soar in south Phoenix and west Chandler, according to initial air quality forecasts.
Children, seniors and people with existing respiratory conditions should limit time outdoors.
