United Blood Service has scheduled a blood drive for this Sunday to replenish a significantly decreased stock of blood.
Held at the Tempe Center for the Arts, the aim for the Saving Arizona Blood Drive that runs from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. this Sunday is to restock its supply of blood, especially O-negative. The United Blood Service’s stock of O-negative, which is the universal blood type, fell to 10 units on Dec. 31.
People who donate during the Sunday event receive both a voucher for a 14-inch cheese pizza from Streets of New York and a voucher for a one-day gate pass for the Waste Management Phoenix Open.
Tempe Center for the Arts is located at 700 W. Rio Salado Parkway, and more information is available by visiting AZHero.com/SaveAZ or calling (877) 448-4483.
