SAN TAN VALLEY, Ariz. (AP) — Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu has announced the formation of an exploratory committee for Congressional District 4.
In a news release, the first-term sheriff says he believes the real deficit in Washington is one of leadership. He says Arizona is ground zero in the fight against drug and human smuggling.
His spokesman says a decision whether Babeu will run for Congress is not expected until early next year.

Babeu, a good Republican? I suppose so, if telling the elderly women in Ahwatukee that there is an ominous future for Arizona, an “armed conflict” he said. It was going to take place between his sheriff’s deputies and the “heavily equipped drug cartel squads”. Then just at the moment when this conflict was to occur, Babeu takes all of his deputies to St Louis for an award ceremony – paid for, in part, with money designated to improve county jails.

Babeu for Congress!!??
Talk about your narcissistic sociopath. Will he stop at nothing to build himself up in the eyes of the public? Watching his initial video on the formation of a committee to study his bid for congress I noted that he referred to his "4" years as a sheriff. Excuse me, but by my count he hasn't completed 3 yet. On the other hand, he did the same thing when he ran for sheriff and referred to his "5" years with Chandler PD. Apparantely that time included his time in the academy and a couple of years during which he was activated and working on the border.
Every time he talks about transparancy in government I picture a clear glass with very murky contents.
Of course ya gotta admit, as a politician and self promoter he has surpassed good ol' Joe's Record in just three years. Unfortunately, I predict that the voting puplic will love this guy. He has been able to hit on hot issues, twisting the emotional strings, and telling them what they want to hear.

Leon, don't worry about old flaky Flakes. He can't do much to Arizona as a US Senator. Now Babeu could do a lot for us if he were in our state's legislature. I hope he runs.
