An Arizona sheriff says he hopes a hiker has learned a lesson now that she's been rescued a second time while hiking alone in the rugged Superstition Mountains.
The Pinal County Sheriff's Office says searchers found 51-year-old Robin Byrd early Thursday morning.
The Sheriff's Office said after Byrd was found that she was being warmed up and would be taken to a hospital for evaluation.
The search began Tuesday night after Byrd didn't appear at a trailhead.
The Sheriff's Office says Byrd was the subject of a December 2012 search in the Superstitions. Byrd said then she was looking for the fabled Lost Duchman's gold mine.
Sheriff Paul Babeu says the efforts of searchers probably saved Byrd's life and he he hopes Bird won't again hike alone in the Superstitions.

make her pick up the entire tab for the search & rescue. maybe she'll figure it out.

Agree with dwhitle. Make her pay the tab. To have to be rescued twice is ridiculous. Also, I have hiked in the Superstitions dozens of times over the years, it is hard to get lost out there. Wide open views and some common sense go a long way.

Agree with the other comments--she should pay for her rescue. I read she is trying to find the mine with the gold--this lady needs a big dose of reality and to stay home!
