This is Sam — or Silly Sam, as volunteers at Friends for Life call him.
Sam’s a beagle blend, about 5 or 6 years old. He had been adopted a few years ago, but his family returned him because he had allergies and at the time, it was too much for them to deal with. Since his return to FFL, however, Sam has seen an allergy specialist who now knows what Sam is allergic to.
Sam is on special food (nothing too expensive), and he’s on allergy shots which will eventually be needed just once per month. House trained, Sam loves play time, knows how to use a doggy door, and would probably do fine as the only dog in a one-pup home.
Sam is neutered, microchipped, and his vaccinations are current. If you’re a family that can keep him away from itchy stuff, Sam may be the boy for you. The shelter is willing to do a “foster to adopt” for Sam so he can start his new life as soon as possible.
