A 10-week-old puppy reportedly thrown from a vehicle in the Queen Creek area was adopted Wednesday.

The Arizona Humane Society said a Good Samaritan pulled over after seeing a person throw a bag out of a truck last week. It's unclear where exactly in Queen Creek this happened.

The person found two puppies in the bag, one of them being Mio, the Labrador.

The Good Samaritan gave the puppies to two different people. The person who had Mio took her to an Emergency Animal Clinic before going to the Arizona Humane Society’s Second Chance Animal Hospital.

The humane society said they don’t know how the other puppy is doing.

Veterinarians discovered Mio suffered head trauma, but was lucky that she didn’t have any fractures or lacerations after being thrown from a vehicle.

Mio has made a full recovery within a week and was adopted by Ashleigh Adams.
