Husband-and-wife entrepreneurs Jeremy and Shernell Mays have opened Painting with a Twist in Tempe — a place to paint a 16-inch-by-20-inch picture with the guidance of an art instructor and drink your own wine or beer.

The facility also offers booze-free Family Days and children’s parties. Two-hour classes are offered for $35 and three-hour classes for $45. Select family friendly and seniors classes are $25.

A grand opening celebration is set for 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, March 6. A free class will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis, and everyone who attends will receive a gift bag and be entered to win free painting classes.

Painting with a Twist is at 219 E. Baseline Road. For information, call (602) 758-7928 or
