A collision of vintage steals and trendy pieces inhabit Mesa boutique Fifi & Me. Whether you’re coming in to complete your collection of authentic ’80s home accents or looking for some modern day finds, this alcove of antiquities treats the bargain hunter and collector in all of us.
“It’s an eclectic ladies boutique that offers new, classic and retro clothes shoes, jewelry and handbags. I like to say that it’s a place where a gal can get away from her husband for a few hours,” says owner Pamela Wood.
Fifi & Me opened last fall at McKellips and Recker roads, offering upscale and resale items. From Betsey Johson to Versace, even the accessories throughout the store highlight its wide range.
“I put a lot of my heart into the things I put into the store. I don’t like cookie-cutter stuff that everyone already has. My husband and I are pickers, and if it doesn’t work with our idea, it doesn’t go into the store,” says Wood.
When it comes to handbags, the boutique’s big niche item, she aims for well known as well as unknown brands.
“I try to have handbags that people have never really heard of, upscale handbags that are never really seen in store,” she says.
One thing that differentiates the boutique is that a girl’s best friend is always welcome — and mind you, I’m not talking about diamonds but pets. Fifi & Me offers accessories for four-legged companions and even opens its door to any furry leashed and well-loved friends.
“I love animals more than anything in life, so I had to incorporate my love for my dogs and cats into the Fifi family,” says Wood.
Throughout the store you’ll find photos of her own pets in frames. There’s also a pampered pet section.
“We find the kind of things people don’t normally see for their pets, like Coach and Juicy Couture dog collars,” she says.
They also offer ceramic bowls, a colorful display of leashes and even lounge chairs for pets.
