There may not be ocean front property in Arizona, but that doesn’t mean we don’t enjoy water sports like stand up paddleboarding. In fact, this sport has become so popular that Valley residents Court and Heather Fetter are opening the Valley’s first stand-up paddleboard shop — No Snow Stand Up Paddleboards. The store, located at 3654 N. Power Road in Mesa, will provide paddleboard sales and rentals, fitness instruction, and nutrition and yoga accessories.

A grand opening celebration with food, drinks, contests and prizes is planned for 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, July 27.

“The beauty of stand up paddleboarding is that it is a sport that can be done on any body of water here in Arizona, no ocean required,” said shop owner Court Fetter in a statement. For more information call (480) 807-6787 or visit www.facebook.com/NoSnowSUP.
