With its big sad eyes and crinkly boo boo face, a pug always has a look that seems to beg for love. This weekend, a number of homeless pugs hope you'll show them the love - and give them a new home. Bark Avenue Pet Supply, 3109 E. McKellips Road, will host Adopt a Pug Day from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.
Arizona Pug Adoption & Rescue Network has been invited to bring many of the pugs they are fostering to the store. APARN‘s mission is to rescue abused, abandoned, homeless, unwanted, sick or injured pugs, rehabilitate them and place them into loving, permanent adoptive homes in Arizona. The group also strives to educate the public about the pug dog breed, including its personality, special needs and care, and provides medical care and spay or neuter operations for all of the pugs it rescues.
