Veteran performers Cait Brennan, Tom Bertling and Ivan Harshman will join blues headliner The Sugar Thieves and “Hey Ya” YouTube sensation Obadiah Parker for two concerts at Tempe Center for the Arts.
They’re the latest musicians to take part in Songwriters’ Showcase VIII, a local, Emmy-nominated concert series in which selected performers from the Valley join a regional headliner for two nights of original music.
The Sugar Thieves concert will be 7:30 p.m. Nov. 30. Parker will play at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 1. Both shows will be taped for television. Broadcasts air at 10:30 p.m. Saturdays on Channel Eight, Arizona PBS.
