It wouldn’t be Christmas without hearing Trans-Siberian Orchestra’s “Carol of the Bells” playing on the radio.
This weekend you can see it performed live, when the mega-watt group brings its annual tour to Jobing.com Arena to perform the rock opera “The Lost Christmas Eve” along with other holiday fan favorites.
Based on a story written by the group’s creative genius Paul O’Neill, the opera tells of a small angel sent to earth on Christmas Eve to find the person who most reflects the character of God. The angel ends up in New York City, where she searches in a blues bar, an old hotel and a church to seek out the person in question. After looking high and low, she finds him in the most unlikely of places, with the help of a downcast Wall Street billionaire.
Music written by O’Neill, Robert Kinkel, Jon Oliva and Al Pitrelli bring the story to life, along with all the pyrotechnic razzle dazzle you could wish for.
