Bug lovers have long gone into the desert after dark aiming to spot the phosphorescent glow of scorpions under black lights. Now it’s the people’s turn to shine.
Glow in the Park, a new event at San Tan Mountain Regional Park in Queen Creek invites hikers and astronomy buffs to adorn themselves in glow-in-the-dark duds, from neon puffy paint to glow sticks, for a nighttime park experience.
The event begins at 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 5, at the park’s flag pole. There is a $6-per-vehicle entry fee. For information, call (480) 655-5554 or visit Maricopa.gov/parks/santan.
