Looking for an off-the-beaten-path Valentine’s Day date? Check out the “Hearts Rock” exhibit at the Boyce Thompson Arboretum. The show features the art of Gilbert resident Michael Madsen. His photographs of heart-shaped rocks set against natural backdrops are celebrated for their beauty and simplicity.

Aside from the exhibit, the arboretum features trails to explore and daily activities, such as educational hikes or workshops, you can add to your visit.

Visitors can meet Madsen 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 9 at the arboretum. His exhibit will be available for viewing 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily throughout February. Boyce Thompson Arboretum is located at 37615 E. US Hwy 60 in Superior. Admission is $9.

Call (520) 689-2811 or visit ag.arizona.edu/bta for more information.
