We’ve all heard of the frankincense and myrrh gifted by the magi, or wise men, to the Christ child, but how many of us actually know what those things are?

Find out on a Plants of the Bible walking tour guided by bible scholar Dave Oberpriller of Mesa. Frankincense, myrrh and other plants referenced in scripture will be highlighted. Trails are flat and accessible by wheelchair.

The tour begins at 1:30 p.m. Dec. 15 at Boyce Thompson Arboretum, 37615 U.S. Highway 60, Superior. The tour is included with the admission fee of $9 per adult and $4.50 for children ages 5-12. Tours will be held on the first Sunday and third Saturday of each month. For information, call (520) 689-2811 or visit ag.arizona.edu/bta.
