Interested in mountain biking? Meet up with and learn from others who share your hobby via The San Tan Shredders, a new mountain biking group for riders of all levels and ages.
Bikers meet at San Tan Mountain Regional Park’s main trailhead for a brief chat about the latest in mountain biking news, then go for a quick warm-up ride as a group. Once muscles are primed, riders break up into beginner, intermediate and advanced groups to tackle the trails by night.
San Tan Mountain Regional Park has more than eight miles of trails ranging in length from 1 to 5 miles and in difficulty from easy to strenuous. Wildlife often spotted at the park include coyotes, javelinas and Gila monsters.
The next Shredders ride is 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, July 5. Bring plenty of water, two sources of light, a helmet and your own bike.
