Just in time for cooler weather, visitors who pay the camping fee for one night or more at a desert mountain county park will receive one night of equal or lesser value free.

It’s a great chance to get into the great outdoors without having to go far from home.

To receive the free night, park visitors must contact the Parks Call Center 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. The phone number is (602) 506-2930. The promotion will be applied to stays booked between Oct. 1 and Nov. 11. Reservations booked online or before August 7 are not eligible.

Participating parks include Usery Mountain Regional Park (with 74 developed campsites) in Mesa, as well as Cave Creek Regional Park (38 developed campsites), Estrella Mountain Regional Park (seven developed campsites), McDowell Mountain Regional Park (76 developed campsites) and White Tank Mountain Regional Park (40 semi-developed campsites).

The parks are all within a 45-minute drive from downtown Phoenix.

For information, contact the Parks Call Center or visit Maricopa.gov/parks.
