Friday is the day fervent fans have been waiting for: the DVD release of the blockbuster hit “The Hunger Games” and a Tribute-worthy celebration at Blockbuster Video in Tempe.
From 9 p.m. to midnight Aug. 17, guests can watch the film, get a special Tribute mini-makover, eat survival food, play trivia contests for prizes and learn self-defense techniques for the arena. Fans can pick up their reserved DVDs and get a free poster while there. Music from KKFR-FM 98.3 livens up the night. It will be a popular event, so expect crowds. May the odds be in your favor.
