Love movies? You might want to check out the ASU School of Theatre and Film’s screening series, “Hollywood Invades Tempe.”

The free events include a pizza dinner, screening and discussion with a special guest, either live or via video chat.

Screenings begin Wednesday, Feb. 6, with the Oscar-nominated film, “Beasts of the Southern Wild.” A video chat with co-producer Matt Parker is open to the greater ASU community.

On Wednesday, Feb. 13, “The Hunger Games” will be shown, with director Gary Ross discussing the film with the audience in person. The Wednesday, Feb. 27, installment will screen either “Animal House” or “The Blues Brothers,” with director John Landis speaking in-person. Both events are open to ASU students.

All screenings start at 7:30 p.m. (but arrive at 7 p.m. for pizza) at the Marston Exploration Theater in the Interdisciplinary Science and Technology Building IV, at 850 S. McAllister Ave., Tempe.

For information, call (480) 965-5337 or visit Theatrefilm.asu.edu/.
