Prescott’s already a Christmastime destination in Arizona, thanks to its old-fashioned courthouse square and Victorian homes decorated in lights.
Its historic 1917 Hotel Vendome offers another lure: a 12 Beers of Christmas beer tasting in its Fremont Bar.
Held 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Dec. 21-22 and 28-29, the tasting features winter and holiday brews paired with traditional European Christmas desserts, such as figgy pudding, a sugar plum, gingerbread and fruit cake.
The cost is $10 for beer with no dessert, $20 for beer with dessert or $35 for beer and dessert for two people. Reservations are not required but are appreciated at (928) 776-0900.
We’re loving it as a quick and festive surprise getaway idea for hard-to-shop-for husbands, dads, brothers or boyfriends.
