Maybe it’s because they represent a slower time, or maybe because they carry us through places new and unknown, but there’s something undeniably magical about trains. On National Train Day, you can experience some of that first hand at Chandler’s Arizona Railway Museum, where you can climb aboard real and historic cars and locomotives not normally open to the public.
DETAILS >> 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 10. Arizona Railway Museum, 330 E. Ryan Road, Chandler. Free admission. (480) 821-1108 or Azrymuseum.org.
