Easter offers an ideal opportunity to enjoy family, faith and our beautiful spring weather, especially with the plethora of activities going on around town this weekend. Events ranging from a dino egg hunt to an Easter brunch “down on the farm” provide locations and price points to suit almost everyone.

Easter Egg-Citement

Schnepf Farms offers everything you need for a fun Easter outing, including an egg hunt, a burger or hot dog lunch, unlimited use of the amusement park rides and carousel, pictures with the Easter bunny and a complimentary cookie. The Easter Bunny will be available for personal snapshots from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Space is limited so registration is required. Dino Egg Hunt

Take the kids on an unusual egg hunt at the Arizona Museum of Natural History, where they can also do crafts and hands-on activities and learn all about dinosaur eggs. Apache Junction Easter Egg Hunt

Game booths, bounce houses, train rides, a petting zoo and a pancake breakfast make this annual AJ egg hunt worth getting up early for. Family Easter Celebration

Chandler’s yearly Easter extravaganza at Snedigar Sportsplex includes an egg hunt for children 9 and younger, interactive games, vendor booths, arts and crafts, and a family Easter basket giveaway. Farm living may not be the life for you, but chances are you’ll enjoy eating a gourmet brunch at The Farm at South Mountain. The unlimited buffet offers festive fare including fresh pastries, pecan French toast, braised short ribs, grilled salmon, creamy mac and cheese, roasted sweet potato salad and lots more. Easter Egg Hunt

More than 6,000 eggs hide in the grass at Arizona College Prep Academy, where Hope Covenant Church hosts its annual family Easter celebration. The free event offers multiple egg hunts for children 3 and older. There is also a special “Tiny Tots Easter Area,” lots of prizes for kids, a puppet show, crafts, a free breakfast, an optional outdoor worship service and a kids program.
