The Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction — one of the biggest events of the year in the entire Valley — cranks up Jan. 13 at WestWorld of Scottsdale.
The mega auto show draws car nuts (and high rollers with the money to bid on those cars) from all over the country, all vying for a look at some of the most desirable cars from every era and for every taste. Among the offerings: a “Nightmist Blue” and black 1967 Shelby GT500 Mustang and a 2009 Ford F-150 King Ranch 4×4 SuperCrew owned by President George W. Bush.
There’s also food, memorabilia and tons of merchandise you didn’t even know you wanted.
It’s so big you have to park miles away and ride in on a bus. But you can catch the auction on the Speed Channel, if you prefer to drool over the cars apart from the crush of the crowd.
Jan. 13 is Family Value Day, when adults get in for $10 and kids 12 and younger are free.
