You may not realize it, but your local library offers a wealth of free summer programming for kids and families. East Valley residents have a number of libraries to choose from including the branches of the Maricopa County Library District, Mesa Public Library, Chandler Public Library and Tempe Public Library.

Southeast Regional Library (775 N. Greenfield Road, Gilbert), a Maricopa County Library branch, offers a rock painting class on June 14, a Great Arizona Puppet Theatre performance on June 18 and a catapult making class on June 28. Queen Creek Library (21802 S. Ellsworth Road), also a Maricopa County Library branch, hosts a ventriloquist on June 13 and Mesa Public Library (64 E. First St.) offers a YoYo class on June 19, 25 and 26.
