Arizona State Fair wraps up with weekend concerts

The annual conglomeration of games, rides and entertainment wraps-up this weekend with performances from Old School Jam on Friday and tween/teen favorite Zendaya, best known as “Rocky Blue” on Disney Channel’s “Shake it Up,” on Saturday. General admission seating is free with fair admission. Reserved-seat tickets are available through Ticketmaster or in person at the Coliseum Box Office.

DETAILS >> Noon to 10:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 2, 10 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 3-4. Arizona State Fairgrounds, 1826 W. McDowell Road, Phoenix. $10 for adults, $5 for kids (ages 5-13), $5 for seniors (ages 55+), free for kids 5 and younger; $2 admission before 2 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.     Five young women from Arizona Indian tribes will share their cultures’ principals and values through songs, dance, stories, dress and humor, competing in talent, traditional dress, interviews and other categories. Each woman receives a scholarship, and the winner serves as an ambassador for Arizona tribes for a year.
