It’s not like we need an excuse to polish off a cupcake, but we’ll take Jan. 10’s imaginary “Gilchrist Inauguration Day” as reason enough.
A nod to the fictional “President Dale Gilchrist” played by Bill Pullman on the new NBC comedy “1600 Penn,” the day is being celebrated with free cupcakes at Sprinkles, 4501 N. Scottsdale Road, Scottsdale. The offer is good for one cupcake per person.
The bakery is partnering with the television network to celebrate the launch of the show, which debuts Jan. 10.
