Amid the charming, unexpected and independently owned shops in downtown Mesa is Twisted Sisters Designs, a jewelry studio and gallery that’s throwing open its doors to youngsters on July 17.

The shop, at 48 S. Robson, is the site of Downtown Mesa Association’s next “Kidtastic” event, a series of inexpensive summer activities taking place 10:30 a.m. Wednesdays at different venues throughout the district.

Geared toward children ages 6-11, the July 17 event is limited to eight kids, though another session may be added if demand calls for it. Registration is required in advance by emailing erica@downtownmesa.com.

Kids will get to make jewelry at the event. Kits cost $5.

For information, call (480) 890-2613 or visit DowntownMesa.com.
