Local band Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers has no trouble filling a sizeable venue by itself. Add the lure of sizzling sausages, cold beer and good old-fashioned Bavarian-themed amusements, and you’ve got the makings of one giant party on your hands.
SanTan Brewing Oktoberfest opens at noon Saturday, Sept. 29, in downtown Chandler, and the headlining band is only a portion of what’s on tap.
Tricycle races, keg rolling and stacking, stein races and bag toss matches will keep guests entertained between bites of bratwurst and sips of beer at the event, hosted by Chandler’s SanTan Brewing Co. There’s also a Von Hanson Brat Eating Challenge and a beer maid contest with a $500 prize.
A ticket includes admission and entertainment. Food and drinks are available for purchase, for cash only, from vendors.
