If making Popsicle stick crafts, experiencing the outdoors and eating homemade ice cream were highlights of your childhood summers, you’ll be thrilled to know that you can repeat those joys with your kids June 8 to July 14 at Bass Pro Shops in Mesa.

From noon to 5 p.m. on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays, families can make crafts, participate in 20-minute outdoor discovery workshops or practice archery, target practice or casting skills. The craft projects vary weekly and include a compass, a bobber key chain, and a lizard door hanger while workshops range from bird watching to wildlife and backyard exploration. Kids get a free lanyard and a collectible pin (while supplies last) for every workshop they complete. You can treat the whole family to free home made ice cream on Saturdays from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. or get a free photo taken with dad between noon and 5 p.m. on June 8, 9, 15 or 16. Visit www.basspro.com/summercamp for more details.
