Enter the wacky, wonderful world of subconscious meandering and lofty aspirations in "Dream On," an interactive exhibition for families opening Friday, June 21, at Arizona Museum for Youth in Mesa.
The show includes 24 artworks in collage, digital art, installation, painting, printmaking and photography -- and some hands-on activities.
Kids can encapsulate themselves inside an enormous
“Dream Cloud” sculpture, where they can write their own aspirations on the walls.
A Dream Theater supplies colorful costumes and props for kids to act out their dreams and fairy tales. The Dream Weaver invites guests to write their dreams on strips, then weave them through an over-sized community loom.
Art-making activities include dream catchers and journals.
Admission is $7 per person and free for members younger than 1. For information, directions and hours, call (480) 644-4129 or visit ArizonaMuseumforYouth.com.
