Saddle up for Wickenburg Gold Rush Days

Looking for a weekend getaway but don’t want to go far? Head to Wickenburg and take part in the annual cowboy celebration commemorating the city’s mining and ranching heritage.

Friday’s opening ceremonies begin at 10 a.m. on Frontier Street with a gunfight, followed by an arts and crafts fair, family fun fest, classic car show and an evening performance from “Riders in the Sky.” Saturday’s 10 a.m. parade includes more than 100 entries and 1,000 horses, cars, floats and bands. Festivities, including a barbecue, gold panning, a rodeo, dancing, and live entertainment continue throughout the weekend.
