First Fridays, when you can ride free trolleys to downtown Phoenix’s most happening arts districts, have been going on for a while but now Artlink, the nonprofit group behind the events, is launching something new: the Third Fridays Collectors Tour.

During the three-hour excursions, those with more than a passing interest in art can delve beneath First Fridays’ surface-level exposure. Knowledgeable guides will share insights on buzz-worthy exhibitions, artist studios and the local art scene, as participants travel by trolley to places like Willo North Gallery, Jackson Street Studios and Modified Arts.

Galleries and studios will provide light refreshments, and artists or curators will be on hand to discuss work and answer questions.

Tour are 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. the third Friday of each month. They begin outside Phoenix Art Museum. Tickets are $35, and seating is limited.

To reserve your space, go to ArtlinkPhoenix.com, and click on “What’s Hot.” Or, send an email to info@artlinkphoenix.com with your name, the number of seats you wish to reserve, your contact information and the best time to reach you.
