A new crop of Oscar-winning pics will be announced in February, but you can still catch the latest Best Picture winner, “The Artist” at Phoenix Art Museum.
The movie, a silent film revival about a 1920s actor struggling to adjust to “talking” pictures, will screen 1 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 6 at the museum, at 1625 N. Central Ave. The cost is $5.
“The Artist” is being shown in conjunction with “Modern Spirit: Fashion of the 1920s” an exhibition on view through Feb. 10.
Coincidentally, Bank of America customers can show their bank cards at the museum this weekend for free admission to the galleries. The deal, part of BofA’s monthly Museums on Us promotion, is also good through Jan. 6 at Children’s Museum of Phoenix.
