Christmas may be over, but Holidays at the Heard are still going strong.

American Indian dance and music performances, artist demonstrations, films, frybread, hot apple cider and Indian tacos will liven up Heard Museum’s 12 exhibit galleries during the annual event, held through Monday, Dec. 31.

Performances are at 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. daily in Steele Auditorium. Book signings are at noon and 2:30 p.m. in Books & More. Artist demonstrations are from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and frybread is sold from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Acclaimed American Indian artists scheduled to attend include the Yellow House Indian Dancers, the Yellowbird Indian Dancers, Derrick Suwaima Davis, the Dinetah Navajo Dancers, the Hopi Dance Group and the Native Spirit Dancers.

Heard Museum is at 2301 N. Central Ave., Phoenix. Admission is $18 adults, $13.50 seniors (65 and older), $7.50 students and children 6-12, and free for children younger than 6 and American Indians.
