The sound of beating of drums, jingling bells and pattering feet is back most Thursdays and Saturdays, through April 5, at Scottsdale Civic Center Park.
Native Trails, a series of free, family-friendly festivals that celebrate Native American traditions, history, song and dance, is back for its 12th season. Performers and artists from tribes such as the Hopi, Diné (Navajo), Hualapai and San Carlos Apache take center stage during these free hour-long festivals, which start at noon.
Attendees are able to enjoy songs and dances as they would at a pow wow, buy handmade crafts from American Indian artisans, and taste dishes such as cactus chili with tepary beans, mesquite muffins and fry bread.
