Chandler’s new Chao Urban Asian Eatery is hosting a grand opening celebration 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. Friday, Feb. 28. The celebration will feature live entertainment, drink specials and appetizer samplings.

Located in the Pecos Ranch Shopping Center at the northeast corner of Dobson and Germann in Chandler, Chao’s menu features a wide variety of nosh items and entrees like pad Thai, curry, fried rice, spicy basil prawns, teriyaki chicken and spicy stir fry. Menu offerings will vary from week to week depending on seasonal options.

Happy hour specials, good 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, include $5 pitchers of craft beer, $5 glasses of wine and $5 house cocktails.

Chao is developed by David Fliger, owner of Chandler’s Latitude Eight Thai Grill, which closed in December so Fliger could launch Chao.

Chao is open daily at 1820 W. Germann Road, Chandler. For information, call (480) 855-0522 or visit ChaoChandler.com.
