It’ll be good food for a good cause at 6 p.m., March 7, when Mesa’s East Valley Institute of Technology hosts the 21st annual Mystery Chef Dinner benefitting EVIT’s Culinary Arts program.

Twelve chefs from restaurants around the Valley will donate their time to prepare three- to four-course gourmet meals.

“It’s a mystery what chef you get and what the food will be,” said Tricia Guerrero, instructor for the culinary arts program, in a statement. “It allows the community to come in and enjoy meals by top chefs at a reasonable price.”

The theme of this year’s dinner is “Timeless Classics.” Dinner will be served in the Culinary Arts dining room at the Dr. A. Keith Crandell Campus at 1601 W. Main St., Mesa.

Tickets are $65 per person if pre-paid or $75 per person paid at the door. Seating is limited. All proceeds benefit a scholarship fund for EVIT culinary arts students.

EVIT’s Culinary Arts and Baking & Pastry Arts programs are accredited by the Accrediting Commission of the American Culinary Federation Education Foundation. To make reservations for the dinner, call (480) 461-4139. For information on EVIT’s culinary arts programs, visit EVIT.com/culinary.
