Ever sit down at a restaurant and become so tantalized by all the yummy-looking dishes that picking just one becomes a ridiculously excruciating enterprise?

One Gilbert restaurant aims to solve that first-world problem.

Proprietors Romeo and Janice Taus host “Taste of Romeo’s Euro Cafe,” a weekly five-course meal at their Gilbert eatery.

The courses are scaled down from the entree-sized versions on the restaurant’s daily menu. During the dinners, the chef-owners interact with guests, and diners are encouraged to ask questions about what, why and how foods are selected and prepared.

The next “Taste” is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 15. On the menu are spicy lamb potatoes, Corinthian salad, ravioli inamorata, Transylvania chicken and lemon curd tarts.

“Taste” tickets are $25. For an extra $ 8, you get five wine tastings. For reservations, call (480) 962-4224.

Romeo’s Euro Café is at 207 N. Gilbert Road. Information is at EuroCafe.com.
