Wednesday, June 26, is the anniversary of the hottest day on record in Phoenix, when the temperature reached 122 degrees back in 1990. In memory of that scorching day, some local food and drink purveyors are offering deals.

Salut Kitchen Bar: If the temperature climbs higher than 110 degrees on June 26, 2013, you get a free order that day only of make-your-own-s’mores, served at your table over a small flame. Salut is at 1435 E. University Drive, Suite 112, Tempe.

Thirsty Lion Pub and Grill: When the temperature is over 110 degrees, regular margaritas and mojitos ($7.50) are 50 percent off. Available until August at 2000 E. Rio Salado Parkway in Tempe Marketplace.

Cookies from Home: When the outside temperature is higher than 105 degrees, get a free cookie (regularly 65 cents) at 1605 W. University Drive, Suite 106, Tempe.
