Eight of the Southwest’s most recognized and talented chefs — including one from Gilbert’s Joe’s Real BBQ — will show you how to make their favorite recipes on Eight’s Centennial Cooking Celebration.

The show, airing at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27, on Eight, Arizona PBS, features host Barbara Fenzl inviting each chef on stage before a live studio audience to prepare a signature dish.

The culinary cast includes Chris Bianco of Pizzeria Bianco (Roasted Eggplant Parmigiana), Kevin Binkley of Binkley’s (Halibut en Papillote), Silvana Esparza of Barrio Café (Chiles en Nogada), Nobuo Fukuda of Nobuo at Teeter House (Cured Salmon with Basil Oil and Soy-Glazed Almonds), Joe Johnston of Joe’s Real BBQ (Joe’s Real St. Louis Cut Spare Ribs), Matt McTigue of El Tovar at Grand Canyon (Pan Seared Salmon Tostada), Amanda Stine of Garland’s Oak Creek Lodge in Sedona (Rack of Lamb with Coriander Crust), and Mark Tarbell of Tarbell’s (Tar’s Scotch Beef with Red Wine Gravy).

The two-hour special draws inspiration from the Arizona Centennial-themed cookbook “100 Years, 100 Recipes, 100 Chefs.”
