A friend of ours recommended this Chinese restaurant to us several years ago, and we absolutely love it. Of course the food has to be great or no one would ever go back. But it’s more than the food that makes this place special.
Our friends and family all refer to this restaurant as “Tom’s.” The owner, Tom Lu, is one of the most gracious people we have ever known.
Nearly everyone who comes into the restaurant greets Tom by his first name, and he knows the name of nearly every customer.
He remembers what your usual order is and knows your favorite sports teams. If you want to try something different on the menu he will recommend something based on what he knows your tastes are.
Some of our favorite menu items include orange beef and orange chicken, kung pao shrimp, broccoli beef, satay chicken and triple delight.
We also really enjoy the egg rolls, crab puffs and hot and sour soup. The service is excellent, the food is wonderful and Tom makes us feel like family. You cannot go wrong at this little hidden gem on Baseline Road near Extension Road.
