The party’s main attraction will be a Battle of the Bands, in which local high school bands will compete in an “American Idol”-style contest decided by text-message voting. In addition, the party will feature a DJ and dance floor, a “Rock Band” video game tournament on a big-screen TV and door prize giveaways.

The family friendly event begins 7 p.m. Thursday and lasts until 1 a.m. Friday at the park at 155 W. Hampton Ave., Mesa. Advance tickets cost $15 at www.golfland.com. Tickets will be available at the door on New Year’s Eve for $18.

For more information, call (480) 834-8319 or visit www.golfland.com.
