Since the age of 7 — when he was thrown overboard, scuba gear and all, by his famous father, ocean explorer Jacques Cousteau — Jean-Michel Cousteau has been plumbing the depths of undersea worlds. Jean-Michel gives a heartfelt tribute to the elder Cousteau and shares how his own work is furthering his father’s legacy of marine conservation.

>> Jean-Michel Cousteau will speak at 7:30 p.m. today at Mesa Arts Center, 1 E. Main St. $32 and up. (480) 644-6500 or mesaartscenter.com.
