A Mesa band whose songs have been heard on three seasons of MTV's "The Real World" is throwing a compact discrelease party this weekend.
Audra will unveil their third album, "Everything Changes," at 8 p.m. Saturday at Club Mardi Gras in Scottsdale. The 10-song CD is produced by musician and actor Robb Vallier and features background vocals from the Gin Blossoms' Robin Wilson. Its official drop date is May 19.
Audra is an American "darkwave" band made up of Mesa brothers Bart and Bret Helm and Scottsdale's J. DeWolfe. The band was chosen as one of the top 10 bands of 2002 by new music authority AP Magazine.
At the release party, Audra will play all tracks on their new album; they're filming the event for a future DVD release.
The Crystelles, Tremulants and DJ Manchester will also perform. The party is open to people age 21 and older. There is a $7 charge.
Club Mardi Gras is at 8040 E. McDowell Road in Scottsdale.
