Lump together a parade, carnival, craft fair, music festival and farmers market, and what do you get? Gilbert Days - the town's annual nod to its Western roots.

A slew of activities, from an outdoor dance with live bands to a mutton-busting rodeo for kids, take place over the weekend, mostly downtown.

Chelle Bullard, president of the Gilbert Promotional Corporation, which puts on the event, says parking should be worry-free for people attending Saturday's events. Parking is free at Gilbert Town Square shopping center at 1040 S. Gilbert Road, and a free shuttle will run 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday from the lot to all Gilbert Days events. See the schedule below for details.

The East Valley Tribune is a sponsor of Gilbert Days.
