Check out these East Valley weekend activities for the whole family.

1 - HOLIDAY FUN:

Fountain Hills celebrates St. Patrick’s Day with live Irish music, Irish food, activities for kids and a dyed-green fountain 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. today at Fountain Park, 12925 N. Saguaro Blvd. Free. (480) 816-5151.

2 - IRISH MUSIC:

More St. Patrick’s Day

weekend fun can be found with Dublin’s Traditional Irish Cabaret, performing comedy, music and dance 3 p.m. Sunday at Ikeda Theater, Mesa Arts Center, 1 E. Main St. $24-$36. (480) 644-6500.

3 -FLOAT YOUR BOAT:

Watch the Arizona Dragon Boat Festival, a 500-meter race in which 25 teams will compete, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Tempe Town Lake, 54 W. Rio Salado Parkway. Free. (480) 350-8625.

4 -OUTDOOR MARKET:

The third Saturday of the month means the Chandler Marketplace, with arts and crafts, live entertainment and produce 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, one block south of Chandler Boulevard on the west side of Arizona Avenue. Free. (480) 241-7128.

5 -ARTSY CIRCUS:

The traveling Cirque du Soleil: Corteo, the latest version of the elaborate stage show, opens 8 p.m. today, 4 and 8 p.m. Saturday and 1 and 5 p.m. Sunday at WestWorld, 16601 N. Pima Road, Scottsdale. Through April 9. $24-$190. (480) 312-6802.

6 - RUSSIAN PROGRAM:

Tchaikovsky and Shostakovich are among the names being performed in an all-Russian program with Keith Lockhart conducting the Utah Symphony Orchestra 8 p.m. Saturday at Ikeda Theater, Mesa Arts Center, 1 E. Main St. $25-$90. (480) 644-6500.

7 - LAST CHANCE:

It’s the last weekend to check out the musical version of the fairy tale classic “Peter Pan” 7:30 p.m. today, 1, 3 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday and 1 and 3 p.m. Sunday at Scottsdale Desert Stages Theatre, 4720 N. Scottsdale Road. $12-$15. (480) 483-1664.

8 -BENEFIT RUN:

The Run for Life features several events benefiting Ryan House, which provides services for children with life-limiting illnesses, 11 a.m. Sunday at Market Street at DC Ranch, 20715 N. Pima Road, Scottsdale. $10-$25. Registration available on race day. (602) 234-3460.

9 - HELLO, HAWAII:

The Aloha Festival is a celebration of Hawaiian culture with music, entertainment, crafts and Hawaiian food 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Heritage & Science Park, Seventh and Monroe streets, Phoenix. Free. (602) 262-5071.

10 - PLANT SALE:

If you’re looking to spruce up your surroundings, get expert advice and pick up a variety of plants at the Spring Plant Sale 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at Desert Botanical Garden, 1201 N. Galvin Parkway, Phoenix. Free. (480) 941-1225.
