I hate spending money on Halloween costumes. Therefore, I wait until the last minute and end up spending more because everything the little darlings want is sold out.
So this year, I started early. (To tell the truth, it was by accident, but who cares?) I stopped by the thrift store Savers to pick up some funky clothes for a party, and lo and behold, I discovered Halloween supplies . . . cheap! Savers has new and used stuff — and lots of stuff, for now, anyway.
If your kids are like mine, they change their mind 14 times before Halloween. So what I usually do is buy their costumes, then refuse to let them play in them until the big day. That way, it’s not old hat before they even wear it.
Savers also has neat stuff for adults. You’ll find wigs, face paint, costumes, accessories and masks — new or used. There are seven locations Valleywide.
