How often do you get to sit down with a movie star? You’ll get your chance Friday when Alan Arkin, the Academy Award-winning actor known for the films “Catch-22,” “Edward Scissorhands,” “Glengarry Glen Ross” and “Little Miss Sunshine,” visits the Valley to chat about his 40-year career in film and on stage. A founding member of the Second City improvisational troupe, Arkin has appeared in more than 60 films and numerous plays and is the author of 10 books. The question-and-answer session with the actor is presented by the Phoenix Film Festival and Independent Feature Project of Phoenix.
