Just a scant handful of tickets remain for the final performances of “It’s a Wonderful Life” at Hale Centre Theatre. The live stage version of Frank Capra’s 1946 film starring James Stewart and Donna Reed makes a nostalgic transition to the Christmas season, as everyman character George Bailey discovers that, for all its imperfections, his life is pretty good after all.
If you miss the show, “A Christmas Carol” — Charles Dickens’ tale of Ebenezer Scrooge — opens Dec. 2. But hurry; tickets to that show, an annual Hale tradition running through Dec. 23, go even faster.
