You may remember Tom Chapin for hosting the 1970s children’s show “Make A Wish” on ABC, but he’s better known for his kid-friendly music — which he’ll perform Saturday in Gilbert for East Valley families.
The three-time Grammy Award winner’s songs teach about diversity, anti-violence, healthy choices, tolerance, respect and environmental responsibility. His music has been lauded by the American Library Association, Parents’ Choice, the New York Music Awards, the National Association of Parenting Publications and Parents Magazine.
Saturday’s concert is best suited for children ages 4-12, along with their parents and grandparents. Chapin’s latest album, “Give PEAS a Chance,” features 14 songs about things like locally grown and eaten food, farmers markets, school lunches, junk food, picky eating, honey bees and the food chain.
